## Summary

The Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC), based at 39 Victoria Street, London, has concluded a procurement process for a pilot service titled "DHSC: SCI: Adult Gender Services Waiting List – Wellbeing Pilot (Southwest) 2026". This initiative falls under the category of miscellaneous health services and is targeted for implementation in the southwest region of the United Kingdom. The procurement followed an open method of competition, classified under a "below threshold" tender, and was part of a light-touch regime. Key milestones include the award and signing of the contract on 10th February 2026, with the service set to commence on 12th February 2026 for a duration of 12 months. The contract holds a value of £150,000 including VAT and may potentially be extended by up to three months pending internal approvals.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for specialised organisations focusing on health and wellbeing services. It is particularly suited for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that can provide non-clinical, holistic support to adults awaiting appointments at gender clinics. The directive focuses on improving patients' wellbeing, resilience, and social connectedness, which are critical aspects that businesses with expertise in community health, guidance, and counselling services can target for growth and development. Successful participation in such a contract could enhance a company’s portfolio, facilitate the development of innovative wellbeing solutions, and establish a strong position in public health service provision.
