## Summary

Kent County Council has initiated a tender process for the provision of security services across its corporate landlord estate, under the title "SC220343 - Kent County Council Security Services." This procurement is classified within the security services industry category and takes place in Maidstone, United Kingdom (region UKJ4). The process is currently at the tender stage, with a key expression of interest deadline set for 10th July 2026. The contract, which will utilise a Competitive Flexible Procedure, is estimated to begin in March 2027 for a term of up to three years, with potential extensions. The procurement is divided into two lots focusing on security services for operational estates and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children properties, encompassing services such as manned guarding and CCTV monitoring.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly SMEs, specialising in comprehensive security service solutions. Companies with capabilities in manned guarding, patrols, key holding, and facilities management are well-positioned to compete effectively. The projected gross value of £28.8 million underscores the scale and potential business growth opportunities this contract offers. As the procurement method involves a multi-stage Competitive Flexible Procedure, businesses that excel in demonstrating quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness will likely gain advantages in the tender evaluation stage. Engaging in this procurement could significantly enhance a security service provider’s portfolio and market presence within the UK public sector.
