## Summary

The Home Office has completed a procurement process for the supply of 24 Marine Engine Anti-Vibration Mounts, necessary for the Border Force Maritime Directorate's fleet of Coast Patrol Vessels. This direct procurement method, classified as below threshold without competition, involved the public authority central government as the buyer, with its offices located at 2 Marsham Street, London. Christie & Grey Ltd, based in Tonbridge, has been awarded this contract for marine patrol vessel components, starting from 6th January 2026, with a contract end date on 30th April 2026. This tender falls under the industry category for goods related to Marine Patrol Vessels, Outboard Motors, and Vessel Repair Services, and had progressed from the planning stage initiated in November 2025, transitioning to completion by January 2026.

This procurement offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses within the marine engineering sector, especially those specialising in components for marine propulsion systems. Given that the procurement was conducted below the competition threshold, it opens potential for similar contracts where specialised small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) might compete effectively by showcasing their unique technical capabilities and expertise in producing bespoke or similar-specification engine mounts. Suppliers like Christie & Grey Ltd, with a proven track record and knowledge in producing anti-vibration mounts, find opportunities to extend their reach within government contracts by responding to specific technical requirements and maintaining industry standards.
