## Summary

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire is undertaking a procurement process to provide a Countywide Support Service for Young Victims and Witnesses of Crime. This tender falls under the services category, specifically targeting health and social work services, social services, and counselling. The initiative is planned for delivery within the regions of UKH12, UKH1, and UKH11 in the United Kingdom. Initially, the contract was set to span two years with possibilities for extension to a maximum of five years, concluding in March 2031. However, the procurement process was terminated on 24th February 2026 to reassess the specification, ensuring alignment with operational needs and market capabilities. Interested parties were encouraged to attend a market engagement event scheduled for 1st December 2025, at Cambridgeshire Police HQ in Huntingdon.

This opportunity offers substantial growth potential for local organisations specialising in community services, particularly those providing trauma-informed emotional support, guidance, and advocacy for young victims and witnesses of crime. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), are suited to engage in the bidding process due to the project's nature and values. The contract, worth between £500,000 to £600,000, reflects the importance of a comprehensive understanding of the local partnership landscape. An open procurement method invites diverse entities to propose strategic, innovative solutions that cater to the specific needs of young victims, creating avenues for long-term collaborations with public authorities like the Crime Commissioner’s office.
