## Summary

Denbighshire County Council, operating from Rhyl in the United Kingdom, recently concluded the award phase for its "Mental Health Supported Accommodation Project". This initiative aims to provide holistic, citizen-led supported housing services for individuals dealing with mental health issues and homelessness. With a focus on health and social work services in the region categorized under UKL13, the procurement process followed an open procedure. The project, under the category of services and governed by Welsh devolved regulations, initially invited submissions until 12th May 2026, with the contract awarded on 19th May 2026 to Adferiad Recovery Ltd. Key dates include the start of the contract on 1st November 2026 and a potential extension until 31st October 2031, subject to funding from the Welsh Government.

This contract represents a significant opportunity for businesses operating within the health and social services sectors, particularly those specializing in residential support services. SMEs, as well as VCSEs (Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises), were encouraged to participate in the tender, reflecting a demand for quality-centric solutions over pricing, with a 90% emphasis on service quality criteria. Companies with expertise in addressing complex social issues related to homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, and personal well-being are ideally positioned to deliver the requisite support services, thus contributing to societal betterment while expanding their operational footprint and securing financial growth through governmental contracts.
