## Summary

The London Ambulance Service NHS Trust, acting on behalf of the NHS Resilience Emergency Capabilities Unit, has completed the procurement process for a framework agreement concerning the provision of Atmospheric Monitoring Equipment. The procurement, executed under a competitive flexible procedure, focused on appointing suppliers to deliver gas detection equipment across three lots: Portable Single Gas Detectors, Portable Multi Gas Detectors, and Area Monitors. Notably, this framework, worth approximately £2,400,000, will facilitate the acquisition and maintenance of essential monitoring devices crucial for emergency services operations throughout the country. Key dates include the contract commencement on 4th May 2026, with the potential for extension beyond its initial term of three years if necessary.

Businesses specialising in high-quality atmospheric monitoring technology could find substantial opportunities for growth through this framework. The procurement process was open to suppliers capable of providing comprehensive solutions, including ongoing servicing and data management. Suppliers with expertise in manufacturing and supplying robust and reliable gas-detection equipment, suitable for emergency and high-risk environments, would have a competitive advantage. The collaboration opens doors for partnerships with various NHS and Fire and Rescue Services across the UK, making it appealing for companies seeking longstanding business relations with public sector clients. Established suppliers such as Sunbelt Rentals Limited and Draegar Safety UK Ltd secured positions in this framework, indicating robust competition but significant opportunities for innovation and expansion.
