## Summary

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Northumbria has initiated a public procurement process for the Provision of Catering Services at their forthcoming new headquarters located in the North-East region of the United Kingdom. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with engagement meetings scheduled for the week commencing 12th January 2026. These meetings are a part of the pre-market engagement process aimed at understanding market capabilities and exploring service options. Interested suppliers should contact Danielle Latty, the Procurement Business Partner, by 5th January 2026 to register their participation. This tender falls under the services category, specifically within catering services, and invites suppliers to provide high-quality, sustainable, and cost-efficient catering options tailored to Northumbria Police's operational needs.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the catering industry, particularly those capable of offering innovative and sustainable solutions. Companies of all sizes, especially SMEs, are encouraged to participate and engage with Northumbria Police to showcase their capabilities. The engagement process offers a platform for suppliers to present their ideas and solutions directly to the buyer, potentially influencing future procurement requirements. Such opportunities are ideal for businesses aiming to expand their market reach and establish a presence in the public sector, providing both everyday catering services and emergency feeding options. The forthcoming contract period, starting May 2027 and ending in April 2030, provides a stable long-term engagement for the successful provider.
