## Summary

Lincolnshire County Council, on behalf of the Third Midlands Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Consortium, has issued an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the supply of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and Chargepoints along with associated services. The procurement involves two lots: Lot 1 covers standard and fast chargepoint sockets required by all four consortium members, and Lot 2 involves rapid chargepoint sockets needed by Lincolnshire and Stoke on Trent City Councils only. This procurement process employs an open procedure, with the tender period ending on 31 January 2026, and is aimed at expanding residential charging infrastructure in areas of high on-street parking reliance in regions UKG and UKF3. This initiative falls under the 'goods' category, and the total estimated value is £460 million GBP. Suppliers must submit their proposals electronically via the specified portal, ensuring they meet the criteria and deadlines to compete in this opportunity.

This procurement offers significant growth opportunities for businesses in the electric vehicle infrastructure sector, particularly those involved in engineering, installation, and distribution services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, benefiting from a substantial contract that spans from July 2026 to June 2041, with an optional extension. Given the focus on electric vehicle infrastructure, businesses capable of providing high-quality chargepoints and integrated engineering services will find it advantageous. The tender's design stipulates separate awards for the two lots, supporting a competitive landscape and preventing monopolisation. Suppliers with expertise in electrical installation and transport equipment are well-suited to leverage this procurement opportunity to expand their market presence in the UK’s rapidly growing EV charging sector.
