## Summary

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is initiating a public procurement process to establish the Event Management & Delivery Framework (EMF1), aimed at supporting government event requirements. This framework will cater to event services within various industry categories such as cultural event organisation, fair and exhibition services, and more, primarily within the United Kingdom. The procurement is currently in the tender stage, with submissions required through the Atamis e-sourcing portal. Key procurement dates include a tender submission deadline on the 22nd of May 2026, and an enquiry period ending on the 16th of April 2026. The framework, adhering to the Light Touch regime, will be available for use by central government departments and arm's-length bodies, offering a structured yet flexible approach through mini-competitions and direct award provisions.

This procurement offers lucrative opportunities for businesses specialising in event management to become a part of a £300 million framework. With multiple lots including large-scale national events, structured indoor events, third-party events, small-scale events, and event assurance services, SMEs and VCSEs are encouraged to participate. Businesses with expertise in crowd management, cultural event organisation, and supporting services for government projects will find this opportunity advantageous. The framework's flexibility allows diverse event service providers to thrive by engaging in tailored competitions or leveraging direct awards for contract acquisition, promoting business growth within the government sector.
