## Summary

The procurement process titled "Driving for Better Business (DfBB)" is spearheaded by National Highways, a key public authority in the UK, operating from Guildford. This initiative is currently in the planning stage, with a focus on training services to reduce work-related road incidents. The preliminary market engagement notice was published on 28th November 2025, with an engagement milestone due by 10th December 2025. The procurement, falling under the services category, is slated to commence on 1st April 2026 and run until the end of March 2029, with the possibility of renewal until 2031. The procurement method is guided by the legal framework UKPGA 2023/54 and follows a light-touch regime, making it a significant tender opportunity in the UK, worth £600,000, with a potential gross value of £720,000.

This tender offers considerable business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs specialising in training services within the safety and transport sectors. It aligns with National Highways' efforts to engage third-party management for its Driving for Better Business Programme, aiming to reduce road casualties involving work-related driving. Businesses with expertise in road safety initiatives, particularly those familiar with providing training services, are ideally suited to compete. Such enterprises could leverage this contract to expand their project portfolios and deliver impactful services that contribute to reducing the economic and social costs associated with driving accidents in the workplace.
