The primary matters identified for remedial works include excessive translational movement arising in several elastomeric bearings and excessive settlements on the approach to the bridge. There are several other defects that are present in the bridge, which will look to be addressed within the same contract, these include repairs to parapets, approach safety barriers (Vehicle Restraint Systems), bridge joints, riverside maintenance paths, etc - further information is included within the PME documentation.
