## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority recently initiated a procurement process seeking professional surveying services to execute a programme of 3D estate surveys across its property portfolio. Designated as "Specialist Building Surveys," this project falls under the building services category and aims to run on an ad-hoc basis over the next five years. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, covered by GPA regulations, and was originally scheduled with a tender closing date of 9 January 2026, later extended to 3 February 2026. Located in Glasgow, UKM region, the programme will require suppliers to ensure secure cloud-based storage and comprehensive documentation using advanced digital platforms, with an emphasis on quality (60%) and price (40%) as award criteria. However, the procurement stage indicates the contract has been cancelled, as per the latest update on 29 January 2026.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in building and survey services, particularly those adept with innovative technologies like laser scanning and digital documentation systems. The scope of work involves a broad range of tasks, including UAV/drone usage and 3D walkthrough documentations, thereby favouring companies with expertise in such domains. Businesses with capabilities in providing secure cloud-based solutions and comprehensive service coverage can leverage this opportunity to expand their influence in the public sector. Companies meeting the procurement's high standards for quality control and insurance coverage are encouraged to apply as they could stand to benefit from flexible contractual terms and the potential for recurring engagements over the contract duration.
