## Summary

The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, a sub-central government public authority, successfully conducted an open procurement titled "LW158 IMP Support (FAME)" to manage the receipt, import, labelling, and distribution of clinical trial Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) in the United Kingdom and Cameroon. The procurement process initiated with a tender notice in December 2025 and concluded with a contract award to Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust on 17th March 2026. The procurement category focuses on services related to pharmaceutical and clinical products, and the contract is set to be active from 4th June 2026 until 31st May 2029, with potential renewals extending to 2031. The initiative leverages an open competition method below the statutory threshold, with emphasis on technical and commercial evaluation criteria.

This tender offers a significant business growth opportunity for companies involved in the pharmaceutical and clinical sectors, particularly those adept at handling complex logistics and regulatory compliance within international contexts. Large-scale enterprises like Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, capable of managing extensive labelling and distribution networks across different geographic locations, are well-suited for such projects. Additionally, given the nature of the work involving pharmaceutical and clinical products, businesses with expertise in these areas can leverage this opportunity to expand their portfolio through international health projects. The structured procurement process and extended contract period provide stability and potential for long-term collaboration with a renowned public authority.
