## Summary

The Bank of England is in the planning stage of a major procurement process titled "Data Collection Services (Re-procurement of the Bank of England's Electronic Data System, BEEDS)". This initiative falls within the services industry category and is located in the United Kingdom. The Bank aims to modernise its data collection capabilities, which are crucial for regulatory and statistical data acquisition. Interested service providers are encouraged to engage in preliminary market engagement before 3:00 PM on 19th June 2026 by contacting the Bank via email. The estimated gross value of this procurement is £24 million, and it is expected to proceed with an above-threshold procurement process, commencing around May 2027.

This procurement process presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in systems and technical consultancy, software implementation, and data processing services. Companies possessing expertise in XBRL validation processing and professional services for deploying data systems will find this tender particularly suited to their capabilities. Engaging in this procurement could position firms as key players in delivering critical infrastructure to the UK's central bank, potentially leading to long-term partnerships and further opportunities within the public sector. Firms with prior experience in similar large-scale government projects will be well-positioned to compete effectively.

## Notice

BEEDS is the Bank's current strategic data collection system and is the primary digital gateway for collecting regulatory and statistical data from our firms. The system underpins a very large number of critical data collections and is relied on daily by firms and teams across the Bank. The Bank plans to update and modernise our data collection capabilities with the new data collection platform and associated data modelling and toolsets. The Bank will also require XBRL validation processing services and professional services to deploy the new Data Collection System and to migrate some existing data. Note an earlier RFI was published and earlier engagement on BEEDS took place in 2024. Operational reasons then delayed further procurement activity until this year.
