## Summary

The procurement process is being initiated by The Police and Crime Commissioner for Avon & Somerset, located in Portishead, United Kingdom. The project, titled "Generator Servicing and Maintenance," falls under the services category. The South West Police Procurement Service is conducting early market engagement to support Avon & Somerset and Dorset Police regarding the servicing and maintenance of generators. This engagement involves annual and interim servicing, load bank testing, condition surveys, maintenance, reactive works, and emergency call-out services for generators across the South West. The engagement process will conclude on 16th January 2026, with a formal tender expected in February 2026, and the actual contracting period planned from 1st July 2026 to 30th June 2029.

This tender presents growth opportunities for businesses specialising in the repair and maintenance services of electrical machinery and generators. SMEs are particularly encouraged to participate, as the project will involve critical maintenance work to ensure a continuous power supply for the police departments. Businesses that can demonstrate expertise in conducting thorough equipment evaluations and providing responsive maintenance and emergency services are well-suited to compete. Engaging in this market engagement could potentially open doors to future contracts by helping align with the tender specifications and requirements anticipated to be formulated in early 2026.
