## Summary

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is currently in the tender stage for the procurement of services related to the "Collection and Treatment of Biowaste" project. This initiative focuses specifically on the collection, processing, and recycling of biowaste from green and brown bins, divided into four pricing lots, covering areas in Enniskillen and Omagh, UK. The contracts are slated to run for a two-year period, starting from 27th July 2026. The total procurement value is £722,520. The project aims to ensure compliance with the EU Waste Framework Directive and the EU Landfill Directive. Key deadlines include the closure of the tender period on 15th June 2026 and an enquiry period ending on 8th June 2026. The procurement method is an open procedure, welcoming bids through electronic submission.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses in the waste management and environmental services sectors. It is especially suited for licensed contractors with experience in refuse and waste-related services, including refuse disposal, treatment, recycling, and composting. By participating in this bid, businesses can strengthen their portfolios through associated lot contracts that focus on environmentally responsible waste processing and recycling, while ensuring adherence to legislative recycling targets.
