This is primarily for the disposal of fly tip material and to provide additional contingency disposal options to the Council. POPS - Treatment and Disposal POPs - To provide contingency treatment and disposal of approximately 1,500tpa of material containing Persistent Organic Pollutants. Hazardous Materials Hazardous materials, to provide a contingency disposal option for to the Council for Commercial Fridge/Freezers, Fluorescent Tubes and Batteries deposited at the Councils four Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs). Estimated annual tonnages: Commercial Fridge/Freezers: 250 - 300 units Fluorescent Tubes: 3tpa Batteries (Household and Car): 40 tpa.
