## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority, located in Glasgow, is seeking to procure a single back-office solution for the Police Scotland EV Charging Infrastructure. The procurement, titled "PROC 25-2902 Back-Office Solution for the Police Scotland EV Charging Infrastructure," falls under the services industry category and focuses on administration services. The process employs an open procurement method to transition existing services to a single supplier responsible for managing electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The procurement stage was, however, cancelled as reported in February 2026, following several updates through late 2025. Initially planned to meet requirements like quality assurance, community benefits, and meeting specific insurances, the process included key dates, such as the tender submission deadline initially set for 12th January 2026, which was later extended to 16th January 2026 to accommodate the festive period.

This tender presents a business opportunity for companies capable of providing comprehensive electronic vehicle charging infrastructure solutions. Firms specialising in system maintenance services, energy management, software-related services, and charging equipment supply are ideally suited to compete in this procurement. The open procedure offers potential for both established and emerging suppliers to demonstrate their capacity and innovation in handling complex management systems and implementing robust data management and monitoring solutions. With a procurement value initially specified at £836,000 for a contract period extendable up to three plus two years, companies can expect to forge a lasting strategic partnership, contributing to the modernisation and efficiency improvements within Police Scotland's operational infrastructure.
