## Summary

The NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board initially sought tenders for the provision of an All Age Eating Disorder Service, with the competitive procurement process supported by NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit. However, following an independent review of the provider selection process, the procurement has been abandoned to reassess future commissioning arrangements due to changes in the commissioning landscape. The original process was under a competitive tender method, targeting health services within the Norfolk and Waveney areas (Region UKH1). The procurement was intended to align with NICE guidelines and aimed to integrate services for individuals across all ages, promoting early intervention and continuity of care. The procurement's key phases included market engagement and tender stages, with an initial deadline for bids on 9th February 2026.

This proposed contract offered an opportunity for healthcare providers specializing in mental health, particularly those with expertise in treating eating disorders. The contract, valued up to £50.05 million over a potential seven-year period, presented significant growth potential for suitable service providers capable of delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessments and treatments. Companies aligned with NICE recommendations and those equipped to contribute to system-wide prevention efforts would find this tender particularly advantageous. Additionally, organisations that prioritise collaboration with hospitals, VCSE partners, and primary care could significantly benefit from this opportunity, which also included a discretionary annual allowance for service development to further enhance delivery capabilities.
