## Notice

Northern Trains Limited (NTL) is going out to market for the procurement of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) services for tanks, bunds, separators, and associated containment systems. This contract forms part of NTL's commitment to best practice in asset maintenance and environmental protection. NTL requires a supplier to deliver PPM services over a five-year term, covering Train Care Centres across the network. The scope includes: * Oil-Water Separators: 6-monthly servicing in accordance with BS EN 858. * Tanks: Annual compliance inspections in line with OFTEC and SFG20 standards. * Bunds: Annual inspections following CIRIA 736 guidance. * Pipework: Thickness testing in accordance with API 570. This requirement ensures NTL meets its maintenance obligations under Train Care Centre leases and maintains the integrity of primary, secondary, and tertiary containment for substances hazardous to the environment. Suppliers will be expected to apply Best Industry Practice, alongside their expertise and experience, to meet the following key objectives: * Deliver high-quality, effective services that demonstrate value for money. * Maintain assets in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, manufacturer guidance, and industry standards to ensure maximum longevity. * Support NTL's commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation, including digital monitoring or predictive maintenance solutions where possible. We look forward to building a productive and successful relationship with our selected Supplier following the conclusion of this process. The contract may be novated or assigned by Northern Trains Limited to Train Operating Companies, or to DFT Operator Limited (company number: 07141122) or any successor parent company to a Train Operating Company, following a corporate restructuring or similar circumstance. Where used throughout this notice, the meaning of Train Operating Companies includes all and any of those train operating companies who, currently or in the future, provide services for the carriage of passengers by railway: under a franchise agreement with the Secretary of State within the meaning of section 23(3) of the Railways Act 1993 or under, or secured under, the Secretary of State's duty in section 30(1) of the Railways Act 1993; or in accordance with legislation which supersedes or amends the powers referred to in a) and b), including where such powers are transferred from the Secretary of State to another body. NTL expressly reserves the right: -not to award any suppliers the contract referred to in this notice; and -in no circumstances will the customer be liable for any costs incurred by the suppliers.
