## Summary

Mid Ulster District Council is seeking a competent contractor for a Water Quality Monitoring Service, specifically focusing on Legionella Control Management across its estate in Cookstown, Northern Ireland. The council, acting as the buyer, requires services for monitoring legionella risks in facilities ranging from public conveniences to large leisure and administrative centres. The procurement is in the Tender stage and follows an open competition method. The tender period concludes on 9th January 2026, with an enquiry period ending on 5th January 2026. The project, classified under water-treatment work and health and safety services, is estimated at a value of £180,000 and is slated to commence on 1st April 2026, with possibilities for extension based on performance.

This procurement presents considerable opportunities for businesses specializing in environmental services, technical testing, and health and safety consultancy to enhance their portfolio, particularly in the domain of public sector contracts. Companies with expertise in developing risk management schemes, specifically for legionella, and capable of adhering to Northern Ireland’s health and safety regulations, would be ideal candidates. The award criteria prioritize price at 75%, with quality considerations making up the remaining 25%, allowing competitive pricing strategies to be a significant determinant in this tender opportunity.
