## Summary

The procurement process for the provision of IVF media consumables was conducted by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The tender aimed to source specialised chemical products for Jessop Fertility in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and surrounding areas. Key treatments provided by Jessop Fertility include in vitro fertilisation (IVF), intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and more. The process followed an open procedure for goods and was classified under CPV codes for specialised chemical products and IVF services. The procurement involved multiple lots including IVF Media, Embryo Transfer Media, Cryopreservation, and Glassware and Plasticware, with contracts signed on 17 April 2026, following an award period ending on 16 March 2026.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for suppliers of IVF-related media and equipment, with a focus on quality, cost, and social value as award criteria, offering a comprehensive score spread across these aspects. Suitable businesses would include large-scale manufacturers and SMEs capable of supplying CE or UKCA marked products. The contract period extends from 6 April 2026 to 5 April 2028, with potential for two-plus-one year extensions, providing sustained partnership opportunities for successful bidders. The procurement opens paths for innovation in reproductive technologies, especially for businesses specialising in medical-grade chemical products and IVF solutions. Companies like Vitrolife and Planer Limited, which have been awarded active status, exemplify the beneficiary scope for potential suppliers in this sector.
