## Summary

The procurement process led by Hampshire County Council, titled "Healthy Start Training," falls under the health and social work services category. This contract aims to provide training for professionals and volunteers assisting families with low income, specifically focused on nutrition during pregnancy and early childhood. The contract commenced on 8th December 2025 and is valid until 31st March 2027, with Barnardo's awarded as the supplier. The contract is valued at £60,000 and covers regions UKJ35, UKJ36, and UKJ37 within the United Kingdom. The procurement method was limited due to being below the threshold, ensuring a focused competitive environment. The primary goal is to enhance awareness and uptake of the Healthy Start scheme, ultimately improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities across Hampshire.

This procurement presents opportunities for businesses in the health, education, and voluntary sectors to engage effectively with the initiative by providing training that addresses core areas like childhood nutrition and health education. Organisations with experience in training delivery, especially for social purposes, would be well-suited to compete for similar tenders. Companies that can offer expertise in curriculum design, digital learning solutions, and outreach to community stakeholders may find substantial growth potential in these contracts. With the emphasis on ensuring sustainable, evidence-based training solutions, firms that align with public health objectives could leverage this opportunity to expand their influence across the sector.
