## Summary

The National Gallery in London has successfully completed the procurement process for the "National Gallery Research Centre Fit Out" project. This project, within the building completion work category, aims to transform an existing space into a modern research facility. Located in the UKI32 region, the focus is on connecting the Sainsbury Wing and Wilkins Building at Trafalgar Square. The contract, awarded to Advanced Interior Solutions Limited, is set to commence on 1 July 2026, with completion slated for 31 March 2028. The procurement method was a selective competitive flexible procedure, with a total contract value of approximately £6.56 million, making it a significant undertaking for central government under the public authority classification.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in building completion work and fit-outs, particularly those that can deliver complex architectural and structural integrations. Advanced Interior Solutions, an SME, was able to secure the contract, highlighting the potential for smaller-scale enterprises to compete successfully alongside large firms such as Sir Robert McAlpine Limited and Willmott Dixon Interiors Limited. Businesses with expertise in modernising public and staff spaces, installation of MEP systems, and managing comprehensive fit-outs will find similar opportunities highly suitable for expanding their portfolios within the public sector, fostering growth through prestigious projects such as this.
