## Summary

The procurement process for the installation of vehicular crossings and pram ramps within the Borough of Sefton has been awarded, marking the contract stage of this public works initiative. Sefton Council, the buying organisation, facilitated an open competition below the threshold for this contract with the industry focus on construction work. Sefton Council operates in the UK region of Bootle, and the key stages of the tender followed the initial tender announcement on 15th December 2025, moving to an award stage announced on 17th March 2026. The contract runs from 16th February 2026 to 31st January 2027, with a potential extension option for another year.

This tender presents opportunities for businesses in the construction industry, particularly those experienced in public works, to leverage ongoing work and potential extensions to increase revenue streams. The contract, valued at approximately £85,000 annually including VAT, although not guaranteed in scope or quantity, requires materials and workmanship for both planned and ad hoc installations. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) would be well-suited to compete, especially with the emphasis on open competition for businesses broadly classified under construction. Graysons H&E Services Limited, the awarded supplier, showcases how SMEs can successfully engage with public authorities in local infrastructure development while boosting growth potential through continuous service contracts.
