## Summary

The Ministry of Justice is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process concerning Prison Operator Services. The procurement initiative is intended to launch in 2026 and involves a Market Engagement Event scheduled for 13th January 2026 at Pinsent Mason’s offices in Leeds, UK. This event will be an interactive, in-person session, focusing on designing and delivering prison services under the framework agreement. The industry category includes prison services, imprisonment services, and public security, law, and order services. The procurement process adheres to UK legislation 2023/54 and is classified as part of the public security services procurement category.

This tender presents significant business growth potential for organisations specialising in security and correctional facility management. It offers a substantial total contract value estimated at £92 billion GBP and a contract period spanning from March 2027 to March 2035. Businesses involved in finance, resource allocation, reducing reoffending, and effective mobilisation of prison operations may benefit from this opportunity. The structured panel sessions at the Market Engagement Event will aid potential suppliers in aligning their service design and delivery standards to those expected by the Ministry of Justice, providing a platform for business collaboration and competitive success in upcoming mini-competitions and standalone procurements. Business entities capable of adapting their existing frameworks successfully to public security sectors and those interested in the Prison Operator Services Framework 2 are encouraged to register and participate.
