## Summary

The Civil Nuclear Police Authority (CNPA) in the United Kingdom is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for 'Hotel Accommodation' services, aimed at accommodating its police trainees, officers, and staff near their offices and training sites. This initiative is part of their long-term business planning and involves an Informal Soft Market Testing Exercise, not a formal tender. Interested parties are invited to complete the exercise document by 12:00 noon on 30th January 2026. This preliminary market engagement might inform a potential tendering exercise, although CNPA reserves the right to use a suitable framework depending on the results. The procurement encompasses services within the hotel accommodation industry across the UK, classified under code 55110000.

This procurement process offers significant business opportunities, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), which are deemed suitable for participation. Businesses specialising in hospitality and accommodation services located in proximity to CNPA’s sites would find this opportunity advantageous for growth. Although this exercise does not guarantee any future procurement advantage, it provides a chance for businesses to showcase their capacity and service standards, potentially influencing CNPA’s approach to the subsequent tender process. Businesses should prepare to align their offerings with standard service provisions to meet the requirements outlined by CNPA.

## Notice

To inform CNPAs long-term business planning process, the organisation wishes to assess the current market capability and capacity to provide its Police trainees, Police officers and Police staff with Hotel Accommodation in close proximity to its offices / training sites. To achieve this, we are undertaking an Informal Soft Market Testing Exercise; this is not a tender. We would appreciate it if you could find the time to review and complete the Informal Soft Market Testing Exercise Document and return it to us 12:00 noon on 30th January 2026. Please could you base your responses on the provision of your standard service. The information and insight we obtain from this will then support the development of a tendering exercise. Neither the intentions nor the purpose of this soft market testing exercise is to confer any advantage upon its participants in any future procurement process. We now enclose a copy of the Informal Soft Market Testing Exercise Document. Dependent on the outcome of this Informal Soft Market Testing, CNPA may decide not pursue an open tender but proceed via suitable Framework
