## Notice

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (the Contracting Authority) is looking to tender the following services across its Addenbrooke's Hospital and Rosie Hospital sites: 1. Domestic Cleaning Service 2. Patient Catering Services The Contracting Authority's requirements are anticipated to include: 1. Domestic Cleaning Services: * Provision of cleaning services to clinical, public, and staff areas per NHS cleaning standards; * The cleaning services will be based on scheduled routines, focusing on regular, deep, planned and reactive cleans for high, medium and low risk areas * The supply of all consumables (cleaning consumables to include paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, alcohol gel, waste bags, couch roll). The Authority has preferred products for some of these key items and the Service Provider will be required to continue with this supply route; * The supply of all equipment required to deliver the Cleaning Services; and * Additional specified cleaning duties. 2. Patient Catering Service: * Delivery and service of frozen plated meals for inpatient wards, ensuring menu choices meet dietary and cultural needs; * Utilising other meal methods for specific patient / clinical need; * Delivering the service primarily on a scheduled and reactive basis; and * Maintaining quality and compliance with NHS food and nutritional standards. The Contracting Authority wishes to involve the market in discussing the following general points: * Current market and market interest in this project * Feedback on the proposed lotting structure * Feedback on the proposed commercial model and performance monitoring system * Key risks * Innovation

### Planning Information

The preliminary market engagement session will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 15 January 2026 (14:00 hours to 15:00 hours). Joining details will be issued by the Authority to your confirmed point of contact prior to the event.
Suppliers who wish to participate in the preliminary market engagement event are to express their interest by sending an email to cuh.tenders1@nhs.net by 5pm on Friday 9th January 2026. Suppliers are asked to confirm the names, titles and email addresses of the attendees to the virtual preliminary market engagement vertical session prior to the closing date and time.
Following the preliminary market engagement event the Authority will issue an RFI (Request for Information) to all suppliers. This will be issued on the afternoon of the 15 January 2026.
Suppliers are asked to respond to the RFI and return their response to the Authority by 17:00 hours on Friday 30 January 2026.
The Authority retains full discretion to design, structure, and conduct any subsequent tender process as it sees fit, including determining its scope, requirements, and evaluation criteria. 
The Authority makes no guarantee that a procurement process will follow the preliminary market engagement and reserves the right to decide whether to proceed to a formal tender.
For the avoidance of doubt, taking part in this preliminary market engagement does not constitute an expression of interest, pre-qualification, or any other commitment to participate in any future procurement process.
