## Summary

Kent County Council has awarded a contract for the "Practice Educators Service to Short Breaks" to the KENT COMMUNITY HEALTH NHS FOUNDATION TRUST. This procurement falls under the services category and the location is identified as UKJ45, covering multiple short break units across Kent. The contract period begins on 1st February 2026 and ends on 31st January 2029. The total contract value is £252,699, and it has been processed using the direct award procurement method, under a light-touch regime. The contract aims to provide specialist training for staff supporting children and young people with disabilities at short break units located in Herne Bay, Ashford, Maidstone, Dartford, and Southborough.

This tender presents significant opportunities for organisations experienced in medical education services, particularly those specialising in support services for children with complex health needs. Large-scale organisations with expertise in delivering specialist training in a health or educational setting could greatly benefit from similar opportunities, enabling business growth within the healthcare and education sectors. The contract focuses on providing necessary training and improving the quality of care, supporting a niche market of health education, thus aligning with providers who offer tailored training services. Successful bidders could leverage this contract as a testament to their capabilities in enhancing community health and educational services.
