## Summary

This procurement process was conducted by the NHS Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) and facilitated by the NHS South Central and West Commissioning Support Unit. It pertains to the delivery of a poverty awareness and action programme targeting the NHS workforce, aimed at improving awareness of poverty-related healthcare impacts. The process has reached the award and contract stage, with the contract signed on 24th December 2025. The programme is scheduled to run from 5th January 2026 to 30th November 2026. Conducted using a "limited" procurement method due to its below-threshold value, the budget for the contract stands at £30,000, excluding VAT. The main procurement category is services, and the industry focus is on education and training services within the UK region UKK11, including Bristol.

This tender represents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in education and training services, particularly those capable of delivering impactful social programmes. The project is ideally suited for SMEs or voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) like the awarded supplier, Children North East, which focuses on small-scale contracts that contribute to community-oriented outcomes. Businesses capable of designing and executing training programmes that support social change and capacity building within healthcare settings would find growth potential in participating in similar tenders. With the ability to showcase tangible impacts through regular updates and reports, this contract structure caters to organisations that excel in ongoing stakeholder engagement and programme effectiveness evaluation.
