## Summary

Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council has updated the tender process for the "Children's Occupational Therapy" programme, focusing on health services. The contract, recently awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and not subjected to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029, with a potential 12-month extension. The value of the contract is £138,695 per annum, with incremental increases, totaling £424,462.18 over the three years. The service is designated for children and young people registered with a Bolton GP and residing in the Bolton Borough. The procurement process was limited, without a public call for competition, and is at the "award" stage following the successful completion of the standstill period which required representations by 8 January 2026.

This award signifies substantial opportunities for businesses involved in delivering health services, particularly those with abilities in assessment, intervention, and support for disabilities among children. Companies that can provide innovative solutions and collaborate with local organisations, such as Bolton's Independent Living Service, to deliver specialist equipment and adaptations are well-suited for participation. This tender is tailored for businesses equipped with the capacity to serve educational, home, and clinical settings to enhance children's participation in daily activities and further aligns with strategic priorities for promoting independence and education for children.
