## Summary

The procurement process for the "Small Firms FSCS Protected Badge Launch Support" was conducted by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme Limited, a sub-central government public authority located in London, United Kingdom. The contract was awarded under the category of advertising and marketing services and involved the provision of printing, design, and distribution support for FSCS Protected disclosure materials. The award was made directly to W J Linney, given their familiarity with the design requirements. Covering UK-authorised deposit firms, this initiative is crucial for compliance with PRA rules. The tender was completed with the contract period running from 21 October 2025 to 31 March 2026, with a gross value of £33,782.34.

This tender offers significant opportunities for firms specialising in advertising, marketing, and printing services, particularly those capable of providing bespoke solutions for financial industry disclosures. It is ideal for businesses familiar with regulatory design compliance and looking to expand their footprint in financial and government sectors. The procurement method involved a direct award, allowing swift engagement with the supplier best suited to meet the needs of smaller deposit takers struggling with limited resources. Companies offering niche printing services are particularly well-positioned to benefit from similar contracts, fostering growth by catering to specialised demands within the industry.

## Notice

From 1 December 2025, all UK-authorised deposit firms will be required as per PRA rules to update their branches, websites and mobile apps with the new FSCS Protected disclosure materials and badge. Through engagement with key deposit industry stakeholders, we are aware that smaller deposit takers typically have difficulty printing these materials due to limited access to bespoke printing houses and small budgets. As such, FSCS will be providing printing, design and distribution support at launch to firms with < 100k customers as well as shared banking hubs. The agency appointed is already familiar with the design of the new disclosure material and badge and must be able to provide this support. Given the need for these firms to meet the PRA rules and the proximity to the 1 December 2025 launch, FSCS needs to appoint via direct award to the agency that designed the New Badge.
