## Summary

The Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) has completed a procurement process for the provision of Primary Care Vasectomy Services. The contract, valued at £611,165, has been awarded to New Surgery Pencoed. The procurement method was an open procedure, in line with the CELEX legal framework, offering a community-based service for non-complex vasectomy cases outside the General Medical Services contract. The contract period is from 1st May 2026 to 30th April 2031, with an initial three-year term and possible extensions. Delivery is intended within the Swansea Bay Health Board area, UKL18, enhancing timely and effective primary care services until completion by 2031.

This contract presents substantial growth opportunities particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in healthcare services, particularly those with expertise in surgical specialist services. This tender facilitates direct referrals, initial assessments, and services meeting a 12-week referral-to-treatment timeframe, providing businesses an opportunity to enhance their presence within the healthcare sector. Businesses proficient in providing community health services and with the capacity to deliver high-quality and cost-effective care would find this contract particularly beneficial. The opportunity for contract renewal further enhances long-term growth prospects in the healthcare domain.
