## Summary

Network Rail Infrastructure Limited is the buying organisation for a project titled "The Provision of Remote Condition Monitoring (RCM) Solution for Passenger Facing Lifts." This procurement falls under the goods industry category, specifically related to lift systems, and is located within the United Kingdom. The process is in the planning stage, with an important milestone of supplier engagement scheduled for 20th January 2026. Bidders should note that subsequent communication notices are expected to be released by the 21st of January 2026. The procurement intends to address the current challenges of Network Rail’s lift systems by implementing a reliable, real-time data-based solution with integrated emergency communication, aiming for improved operational efficiency and customer experience.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialised in remote condition monitoring, IT integration solutions, and lift maintenance services. Notably, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are considered suitable candidates for this competitive process. With a projected budget of up to £1.8 million and the possibility for contract renewal, participating businesses stand to significantly benefit from long-term engagement with a central government public authority. Businesses with experience in developing systems that interface seamlessly with various lift types and can provide robust API integrations will find this procurement particularly aligned with their service offerings. Additionally, companies that offer round-the-clock data support and possess the capability for real-time alert systems will be particularly well-positioned to meet the project's demands.

## Notice

Network Rail are investigating the potential to procure a portfolio-wide remote condition monitoring (RCM) solution for our passenger facing lifts (1379) that delivers reliable, real-time data and integrated emergency communication. Our current system has proven unreliable and costly to upgrade, with persistent issues such as inconsistent data reporting and dependency on complex phone line connections managed by third parties. These limitations lead to prolonged fault diagnosis, increased downtime, and a poorer passenger experience. Our objective is to replace this fragmented approach with a single, standardised solution that simplifies communications, accelerates fault resolution, and supports data-driven maintenance through integration with existing platforms like salesforce. This will improve reliability, enhance safety, and provide customers with confidence in live lift information while reducing operational complexity and cost. Key requirements: RCM that has the ability to interface with any lift controller type Provision of an API feed that can be integrated with Network Rail's downstream systems 24/7 support of the data feed Monitoring of autodialler status with the ability to test this connection as required or at regular intervals Provision of lift fault alerts in real time through the RCM system

### Planning Information

We are looking for a system that can be used across all lift types and brands - data output must be accessable by NR's 3rd parties as required - there must be no limit to future access of data, albeit via licensing if required.
Suppliers must be able to support monitoring via a portal, with NR/Selected partners ability to access also.
