## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by National Highways Limited, involves the development of a landscape connectivity masterplan for the Killerton Estate in Devon, adjacent to the M5 motorway, owned by The National Trust. This contract, completed as of 21st January 2026, is categorised under architectural services and landscaping, particularly focusing on large-scale connectivity for environmental sustainability. The project was awarded as a direct contract to The National Trust, owing to their exclusive rights and intellectual property related to the land, consistent with the Procurement Act 2023. The contract covers services from 7th January to 30th April 2026 and is valued at £90,000, with a gross amount of £108,000.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in architectural design and landscaping, particularly those specialising in ecological and outdoor space development. The contractual arrangement leverages The National Trust's established intellectual property rights, indicating ideal suitability for large organisations with the capability of delivering specialised environmental projects. As this project aligns with strategies for sustainability and nature recovery, it is a promising avenue for businesses looking to engage in significant infrastructure and environmental initiatives alongside central governmental agencies.
