## Summary

Maidstone Borough Council has completed the procurement process for the Earl Street Public Realm Improvement Scheme, aimed at enhancing the public spaces in Maidstone, United Kingdom. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure, which invited bids for various services under four distinct lots. The tender involved appointing a project team via a competitive process to oversee both design and construction phases, with the tender initially made active in January 2026. Key suppliers, including Academy Consulting, Project Centre Limited, and Tetra Tech Limited, have been awarded contracts to supply services in various areas such as construction project management and consultancy. Contracts are scheduled to commence on the 1st of May 2026, with completion expected by the 1st of May 2028.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in construction project management, counselling services, civil engineering, and related fields. Organisations that are adept in providing comprehensive design, project management, and consultancy services in public realm improvement can leverage their expertise to build credibility and expand their market presence. SMEs have competitive potential in Lots, particularly where small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) bids were successful in earlier stages. The focus on sustainable, inclusive public projects can also benefit businesses that prioritise quality, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable development, providing lasting community enhancements while cultivating strategic partnerships and meeting regional development goals.
