## Summary

Liverpool City Council has completed the award process for the Domestic Abuse Recovery Service, located in Liverpool, under the 'Health and social work services' category. This service aims to support individuals at risk of domestic abuse. The contract, valued up to £500,000 per annum, will be delivered in single gendered buildings with a minimum of 6 self-contained units per site over a 24-month period, with an option to extend for an additional year. The award was decided based on the Open Procedure procurement method according to the Procurement Act 2023, in the 'services' category, and has awarded CITY OF LIVERPOOL YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (INC.) as the supplier. The contract is set to commence on 1st May 2026 and may extend until 30th April 2029.

This tender provides a significant opportunity for organisations within the health and social work sector to expand their service offerings by contributing to a vital public service. Businesses equipped to offer supportive and safe environments for victims of domestic abuse are ideal candidates for this contract. Given the potential for extension beyond the initial contract period, there is scope for sustained growth and market penetration in Liverpool. Enterprises that specialise in secure accommodation and related support services are encouraged to explore similar opportunities for engagement. The emphasis on quality and social value in evaluation criteria further underscores the importance of organisations that can deliver impactful and dignified care.
