## Summary

The public procurement process is being led by Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), a part of the Ministry of Defence, headquartered in Bristol, United Kingdom. The procurement is titled "PPA Rapid Response Procurement" and falls under the industry category of goods and services, specifically focusing on parts for warships and engineering services. The procurement is currently at the Planning stage, with a critical market engagement event scheduled for 26th February 2026, and the deadline for expressing interest is 23rd February 2026. This engagement is designed to gauge market interest and potential capabilities. The procurement, which involves the rapid supply of spares and OEM support for the Royal Navy, is planned to begin the contract period on 29th August 2026 and run until 28th August 2029, with possible extensions up to 2031.

This tender offers a vital opportunity for industries involved in the supply of naval equipment and engineering services, particularly those specialising in propulsion and auxiliary support systems. Businesses with capabilities in rapid response procurement and OEM technical support can benefit significantly by participating. The procurement method adopts a competitive flexible procedure, encouraging small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to compete. Given the scale of the project, with a gross value of £15 million, companies looking to expand into defence contracts or those with established experience in similar sectors will find this procurement particularly appealing.

## Notice

Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), Power, Propulsion and Auxiliaries (PPA), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is exploring options to establish an arrangement for the rapid procurement of codified and non-codified spares, and the provision of OEM Support, in support of equipment across the Royal Navy. Please note that the procurement of non-codified spares will include provision of data to support the Authority in initiating codification for these spares. PPA supports multiple defence areas by delivering and sustaining systems that generate operational energy, provide propulsion, and enable cross-cutting auxiliary functions aboard naval vessels, including domestic, fire and rescue, and catering systems.
