## Summary

The Borough of Telford & Wrekin is conducting a procurement process for the provision of the Special Educational Needs and/or Disability Information, Advice, and Support Service (SENDIAS). The primary procurement stage is the tender phase, with the tender title being "SEND Information, Advice and Support SENDIAS." This procurement falls under the health and social work services category and will be delivered across various regions in the United Kingdom. The open procedure method is being used, allowing businesses to submit tenders electronically. Key deadlines include a tender submission period ending on 29th May 2026 and an award period concluding on 1st July 2026. The contract is scheduled to start on 1st October 2026, with potential renewals extending up to 2033.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health, social care, and services supporting educational and developmental needs. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to participate, given suitability criteria favour these entities. With a significant contract value of £700,000, rising to a potential £840,000, the procurement seeks providers who can deliver quality, implementation, contract management, and social value solutions. The service aims to promote independence and self-advocacy among children, young people, and their families, thus providing a platform for businesses focused on impacting community welfare through educational and health services. This engagement enables businesses to build a strong footing within public sector procurement, leveraging growth and reputational enhancement. Interested entities can engage in preliminary market discussions through a scheduled event on 17th February 2026, which provides insights and networking opportunities.

## Notice

This service will ensure it is delivered in a way that ensures parents, children and young people understand their entitlement to education, health and care support under the SEND Code of Practice and within the Local Authority SEN Graduated offer.
