## Summary

Wolverhampton City Council, a public authority within sub-central government in the United Kingdom, has awarded a contract titled "Net Zero Neighbourhood - Community Engagement and Facilitation" as part of its initiative in Graiseley. The procurement falls under the services category and is part of the council's efforts to advance community engagement for their Net Zero project. The procurement process, which describes a below-threshold method, was completed as of 23rd January 2026. The contract, valued at £31,750 with additional provisions up to £38,100, was signed on 3rd September 2025, slated to end on 30th September 2027. This project aims to involve the community, enhance local leadership, and foster a partnership between the council and residents, working within the guidelines of the Cities Commission for Climate Investment.

This tender creates substantial opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and community organisations aiming to establish themselves in the domain of community engagement and environmental sustainability. The awarded supplier, Groundwork West Midlands, exemplifies the kind of organisation well-suited to compete in this space, with its focus on sustainability and community initiatives. Businesses specialising in engaging local communities, capturing stakeholder aspirations, and collaborating on climate-focused projects could find this an ideal opportunity to expand their reach and influence, particularly within the Wolverhampton region. The project not only supports financial growth but also offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to community-driven sustainability efforts, positioning businesses as leaders in driving social change.
