## Summary

The public procurement process for the "Boxbay Enabling Civil Works" was spearheaded by London Gateway Port Limited, a private utility based in London, United Kingdom. This procurement falls under the construction industry category and involves infrastructure enhancements including the installation of utility ducting, fire water pipework, and electrical services relocation. The selective procurement method was employed through a competitive flexible procedure, allowing interested parties to initially undergo a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) before shortlisting for the tender stage. The contract was awarded on 4th June 2026 to Ryebridge Limited, with the work scheduled to commence from 16th June 2026 to 15th September 2026, geographically centred around the UKH32 region.

This tender presents significant business development opportunities, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the construction and utilities sector. Businesses with expertise in civil and electrical works are well-positioned to compete, given the technical demands of demolition, utility installation, and electrical supply configuration. Although the award has been completed, similar future opportunities could be beneficial for companies aiming to establish themselves in large-scale infrastructure projects. Participation in such procurement processes allows businesses to collaborate with key industry players such as London Gateway Port Limited, potentially leading to further engagements in the private utility sector.
