## Summary

The NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board is actively seeking providers for a Dementia Support Service through an open procurement process managed by NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit. The procurement is currently at the tender stage, with key deadlines set for 29th July 2026 for tender submissions and an award period concluding on 1st October 2026. The service is intended to be provided within the Birmingham and Solihull region and falls under the community health services category. It aims to offer a comprehensive support framework for individuals living with dementia, including information access, emotional support, and care coordination. This tender offers a contract of two years with the possibility of extending for another two years, valued at approximately £3,336,000 net annually.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for growth to providers experienced in delivering community health services, particularly those with expertise in dementia care. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs) are especially encouraged to apply, given the suitability criteria favouring these types of organisations. The procurement's focus on personalised and equitable dementia care, paired with proactive crisis avoidance strategies, suggests that businesses adept in tailored health interventions and community health solutions will be particularly competitive. For businesses looking to expand into the health services sector within the UK, this tender offers a robust, multi-year opportunity to establish or strengthen their foothold in the region.
