## Summary

The Co-Op Academy Stoke-on-Trent has recently completed the award stage for its lettings services contract. The procurement process, initiated by the Co-Op Academy, aimed to secure a contractor to manage non-residential property renting or leasing services for the academy located in Stoke-on-Trent, UK. The process was executed under an open, Competitive Flexible Procedure, focusing equally on price and quality. This contract, valued at £310,000 over a three-year period starting 1st September 2026 with potential extensions until 31st August 2031, seeks to enhance income streams and commercial viability of the school's lettings services. Key stakeholders in this process included RIVA Partnership Ltd as the procurement consultancy and EDU Lettings as the successful supplier.

This tender offers an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in property management and lettings services to engage in a long-term partnership with a reputable educational institution. SMEs, in particular, stand to benefit from participating in such a competition, as four out of the final contenders were SMEs. The contract encourages innovative solutions to maximise asset use, promote facilities, and enhance community engagement, providing scope for business growth and reputational enhancement for the winning bidder. Companies capable of delivering professional, effective management services with a turnover of at least £300,000 are well-suited to compete, particularly those willing to collaborate closely with the academy to deliver optimal outcomes.
