## Summary

Scottish Water has initiated a procurement process for the provision of laboratory consumables, inviting multiple suppliers to bid across various lots. With a total estimated value of GBP 26,500,000, this tender is focused on the goods category within the laboratory equipment industry. This procurement process utilises a selective approach—a negotiated procedure with a prior call for competition. Suppliers interested in any of the nine lots, ranging from general consumables to chromatography supplies, need to submit their electronic bids by 2nd March 2026. The procurement targets delivery within the UK region, specifically Scotland, over a potential framework agreement of up to eight years.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in laboratory supplies, glassware, and consumables. Companies with capabilities in areas such as filtration products, chromatography, and bacterial media are particularly well-suited to compete. The procurement provides opportunities for long-term partnerships with Scottish Water, expanding market presence and establishing a stable revenue stream. Businesses with strong value propositions and competitive pricing strategies stand to benefit and grow by securing one or more lots, given the procurement’s potential extended duration subject to performance and requirements.
