## Summary

The public procurement process initiated by the Respect Collaboration Trust focuses on the "Provision of Alternative Education Angling." This procurement falls under the category of education and training services and is significant for providing education to children who cannot receive suitable schooling otherwise. The procurement involves both the planning and awarding stages, with the latest update being the contract award notice posted on 2nd June 2026. The buying organisation, Respect Collaboration Trust, a public authority in Derby, UK, operates under the sub-central government jurisdiction, and PHP Law LLP, based in Totnes, serves as the procurement consultant. The procurement method adopted is an open procedure under the light-touch regime, emphasising transparency and inclusiveness in the process. The key forthcoming dates include the future signing date scheduled for 12th June 2026.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those with expertise in alternative education and angling services. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs), along with voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), are encouraged to participate, as the tender aligns with the light-touch regime, fostering an inclusive procurement environment. The contract is valued at a gross amount of £600,000, and with provisions for renewals, businesses have the potential to secure ongoing partnerships with the Respect Collaboration Trust. Given the focus on providing unique educational services, organisations with a track record in combining outdoor activities with educational outcomes will be particularly well-suited to compete for this opportunity.
