## Summary

NHS England (London Region) is actively commissioning integrated prison healthcare services at HMP Brixton and HMP Feltham, including the Feltham YOI. This procurement process, currently at the tender stage, seeks capable providers to deliver healthcare across London's secure and detained estates, divided into two Lots: one for HMP Brixton and one for HMP Feltham. Healthcare services will align with NHS England's New Models of Care Service Specification, covering primary care, mental health, substance misuse, public health, and specialist services. Interested suppliers must submit their tenders electronically by 8th May 2026 via the Atamis e-tendering portal. The service aims to ensure equivalent healthcare standards as found in the community, promoting health outcomes, reducing inequalities, and supporting rehabilitation and resettlement efforts.

This tender represents significant business growth opportunities for companies specialising in healthcare services provision, particularly those with expertise in custodial or community healthcare settings. Providers are expected to work closely with partners such as His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service and local NHS bodies to deliver a seamless integrated care model. The initial contract spans five years, with potential extensions up to two additional years. Businesses with experience in delivering scalable, high-quality healthcare solutions, especially those familiar with custodial care requirements, are well-suited to compete. The procurement method follows an open procedure under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, providing a structured yet competitive avenue for bids from qualified suppliers.
