The hardware is based on Ethernet-to-RS485 gateways and RS485-connected pulse counters, together with a variety of RS485- and pulse-output-connected electric, gas, water, and heat meters. Historically, Elcomponent gateways and 4MODs have been extensively used, latterly being supplemented by iSMA devices and some LoRaWAN-connected devices It is anticipated that the contractor will be able to demonstrate significant experience working on large scale AMR systems using the same hardware and software.
