## Summary

Southern Water Services Limited is currently engaged in an active tender process for its "Sustainable Drainage and Habitat Restoration Framework" project, seeking suppliers to provide services across several industry categories including land management, biodiversity improvement, sustainable drainage systems, habitat restoration, and environmental monitoring. The procurement stage is currently at the tender phase, with key activities taking place in the South East of England (UKJ). Important dates include the end of the enquiry period on 20th February 2026 and the tender submission deadline on 4th March 2026. The framework has an estimated value of £1.3 billion (excluding VAT), with a comprehensive timeline for project delivery from 2026 to 2031, extendable by up to three years. The procurement employs an open method under a competitive flexible procedure.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the environmental services and consultancy sectors to expand their operations and establish a partnership with a major utility provider. The inclusion of multiple lots and specialised areas like biodiversity net gain and SuDS makes it particularly advantageous for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that can offer tailored, high-quality solutions. The framework arrangement allows suitable businesses to engage in long-term partnerships and secure substantial financial commitments, thereby driving business growth and sector innovation.
