## Summary

Manchester City Council is in the planning stage of a procurement process for a "Night time Medical and Welfare Support" service. The contract aims to provide medical and welfare support during the night in Manchester city centre, particularly on weekends and public holidays. Key dates for the pre-market engagement process include the closing on 24th February 2026 at 11am. The main industry category involves community, social, health, and guard services, suitable for enterprises situated in the United Kingdom, specifically the UKD region. The current status focuses on the planning phase with pre-market engagement activities conducted via the e-business portal, The Chest, encouraging businesses to register and participate for inclusion in future tenders.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in community or health services, as well as those offering protective and welfare-related provisions. The procurement process favours participation from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs), aligning with its service requirements. Businesses adept in delivering services to vulnerable populations at night or during public events would find this opportunity particularly conducive to expansion. Engaging in this tender can help enterprises fortify their market presence within Manchester and increase their portfolio in public sector collaborations.
