## Summary

Lancashire Renewables Limited, a public authority owned by Lancashire County Council and Blackpool Council, is seeking proposals for the "Provision of Emission Testing and Associated Services" at its waste treatment facilities in Leyland and Thornton, notable for handling approximately 400,000 tonnes of waste annually. This tender is in the 'Tender' stage, with submissions due by 14 May 2026 and awards announced by 16 July 2026. Commencing on 1 August 2026, the contract runs for three years with a possible extension up to six years, targeting both bioaerosol and emissions testing. Interested parties should note that the process is open to SMEs and employs an open procurement method under the Procurement Act 2023.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in environmental services or waste analysis, particularly those capable of conducting rigorous emissions testing under the Environment Agency's Technical Guidance M9. With a projected value of £960,000, businesses focused on sustainable waste management can tap into a growing niche market, driven by initiatives like LRL's plans to recommence its anaerobic digestion process. Enterprises providing advanced waste analysis technologies or possessing expertise in handling emissions-related tasks are especially poised to gain from this opportunity, potentially strengthening partnerships with sub-central government bodies.
